When do you need an audit?

Many companies can now qualify for audit exemption as outlined on the Companies Registration Office website (http://www.cro.ie/ena/annual-return-audit-exemption.aspx)

However you may be required to have a statutory audit completed.

The main reasons are:

• You have a company limited by guarantee (for example property management companies).
• Your company has unlimited liability.
• The company does not meet the ‘small company’ audit exemption criteria per the Companies Office.
• You are operating a group of companies.

Company Secretarial
